ISOPP Business Enews: Check out what's coming on your way in 2020!

With the 2020 Secretariat elections, and membership renewal, well underway, I want to thank you personally for being a member of ISOPP. Your membership and contribution to the global community of oncology pharmacy is very much valued.

A special thank you as well to those members who donate monies during the membership renewal process so that fellow oncology pharmacists who might otherwise not be able to join ISOPP are afforded the opportunity.

In additional to sharing gratitude, register for the upcoming ISOPP’s Webinar titled ISOPP's View on Biosimilars and Practical Considerations for its Implementation, which takes place on Wednesday, March 18th at 5:00 PDT and 14:00 PDT. The webinar will run live twice on the same day to allow flexibility for participants from different time zones. Take advantage of this membership benefit and RSVP to attend (log in as a member)!

And, since our next International Symposium takes place in March 2021, and in order to have a consistent governance timeframe, our Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place online on Wednesday, April 8th at 5:00 PDT. Save the date by accepting the meeting invitation which was sent to you on January 16th. More details on how and when to join the conversation, as well as the agenda, will follow.

The Oncology Pharmacy Association of Ghana (OPAG) is hosting ISOPP’s second Africa Regional Oncology Pharmacy Symposium 2020 (AROPS 2020) taking place on May 13 to 14, followed by ISOPP’s Supportive Care Masterclass on May 15 at Accra City Hotel in Accra, Ghana. Please visit the AROPS20 web page for more information on the program. Registration for the Symposium will open shortly. Watch for notification as everyone is invited to attend!

Do you know that ISOPP's Biosimilars Task Force is currently developing a Biosimilars Educational Toolkit? In addition to this, the following papers will be published in the Journal of Oncology Pharmacy Practice (JOPP) shortly:

You will receive notification once the Biosimilars educational resources are available on the ISOPP website! Also, look out for a call for volunteers for the soon to be formed Immunotherapy Task Force and Member Engagement Task Force, the mandate of which are being finalizing by the Secretariat.

And lastly, a reminder to cast your vote in the 2020 Secretariat election by Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at 11:59pm Greenwich Mean Time via the email which was sent to all 2020 members on February 25th. Your input is important to determine the future of ISOPP. I encourage you to read all of the candidate's letters (log in as a member) before voting. Also, renew your membership using your personalized link sent via email if you have not already done so (contact membership@isopp.org if you did not receive it or to have it resent). The grace period to renew your membership ends on Monday, March 2nd

Thank you again for being a part of the ISOPP community. Watch for the March Enewsletter, see you online for the Biosimilars Webinar on March 18th and the 2020 AGM on April 8th, and in person in Ghana in May!

Best regards

Alex Chan
