The growing use of oral chemotherapy in cancer care presents a significant opportunity to improve patient convenience and enable more treatment to be administered at home. This is particularly beneficial for patients who live far from specialised cancer centres, reducing travel time and logistical burden on both patients and caregivers.

We are proud to share that several ISOPP members from the ISOPP Advocacy committee, chaired by Esin Kandemir, played a pivotal role in shaping the 25th WHO Expert Committee on the Selection and Use of Essential Medicines report.

A joint statement from UICC and ISOPP on the alarming findings reported in The Lancet Global Health that reveal approximately one in six anticancer medication samples collected from public hospitals and private pharmacies across multiple countries in sub-Saharan Africa failed to meet international pharmaceutical standards.
