It was a Thursday afternoon -our busiest day of the week- when Ms. A.B., a woman in her late 40s, walked into the pharmacy for a follow-up visit. She wore a brightly colored dress, beamed with a wide smile, and clutched a thank-you card. We had barely exchanged pleasantries when she embraced me tightly and said, “You didn’t just give me medicine, you gave me hope. You helped me fight a good fight and run the race to the finish.” as an oncology pharmacist in a Nigerian hospital.

Collaborations

Medicines shortages threat patient care and burden healthcare professionals worldwide. In Europe, the European Association of Hospital Pharmacists (EAHP) has been raising the alarm for over a decade, with 95% of hospital pharmacists considering shortages as a critical concern in 2023.

In a significant step toward harmonizing oncology pharmacy practice worldwide, the International Society of Oncology Pharmacy Practitioners (ISOPP) recently published a landmark global review titled "Global Oncology Pharmacy Service Levels and Knowledge Requirements: A Review by ISOPP."

Events

The ISOPP CAPhO Symposium 2025 brought together over 580 participants from 30 countries for an energizing and inspiring few days in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia. With the theme “Global Insights, Local Impact: Advancing a Community of Oncology Pharmacy Practice,” the event welcomed pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, researchers, academics, and leaders from across the oncology pharmacy world to share knowledge, build connections, and shape the future of our profession.
