Obtaining a Travel Visa for China
Entering China often requires a valid travel visa, there are a few exemptions. If you require a visa to travel to the Symposium (most countries do), please contact the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in your country or region. The Embassy or Consulate will advise on specific visa requirements, such as information on travel visa application and submission procedures, required documents, application fees payable, and whether booking an appointment for an interview is required. Visa fees may vary depending on nationality and processing time available.

You apply for your travel visa at the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in your country. If available in your country or region, you can apply at a Chinese Visa Application Service Center. This service is a commercial organization registered in accordance with local laws and regulations and recognized by a Chinese Embassy or Consulate-General to handle the daily routine work of processing ordinary visa applications.
If a travel visa is denied by an embassy, ISOPP and/or its suppliers are not responsible for any fees that have already been paid for registration, accommodation and/or travel.
Important Steps to Remember:
- It is advisable that you apply for a visa at least one month before your intended date of entry into China, and not earlier than three months as the visa may expire before departure. Some visa applications require additional administrative processing, of which applicants will be advised when they apply.
- When applying you must submit your original passport with at least six months of remaining validity and two blank visa pages. The visa will be pasted on the blank page of your passport.

Invitation Letter
If you require an invitation letter, please indicate this during the online registration process and provide the requested details (date of birth, nationality, passport number and passport expiry date). An invitation letter will be sent to you automatically after completing your registration.
