September 2020

Over the past few months, COVID-19 has greatly affected the way we provide oncology services. ISOPP is currently leading a global project to evaluate the impact on COVID-19 on oncology pharmacy practice.

We need your help with this project. You are selected to participate because you are a pharmacy practitioner and member of the International Society of Oncology Pharmacy Practitioners (ISOPP).

We are looking for membership feedback on the ISOPP Position Paper for the Role of the Oncology Pharmacy Team in Cancer Care (log in as a member) developed by the ISOPP Credentialing/Specialization/Scope of Practice Task Force. The deadline for comments is Friday, October 9, 2020.

ISOPP Members, the seventy-fifth issue of the Virtual Journal Club (VJC) is available on the International Society of Oncology Pharmacy Practitioners (ISOPP) website. To access it, visit the https://www.isopp.org/isopp-education-resources/virtual-journal-club-surveys

ISOPP is forming an Immunotherapy Task Force and we are looking for members who can be part of developing a global position statement on the pharmacist’s role in the era of Immunotherapy; incorporating a focus on low to middle income countries.  In addition, the Task Force’s mandate includes developing a Toolkit for patient and health care professional, and providing education and training opportunities at a future ISOPP Symposium. Please express your interest in being part on the Task Force via email at immunotherapy@isopp.org by Monday, September 28, 2020.
