We are seeking ISOPP members who are interested in volunteering as of member of the 2019 election

Every day oncology pharmacists make a difference in the lives of cancer patients around the world. Part of ISOPP’s mission is to support and reward this vital work. We do this through our Grants & Awards program.

ISOPP 2019 is taking place October 10-13, followed by one day Masterclasses on October 14, at the Novotel London West, in London, UK. The national host is the British Oncology Pharmacy Association (BOPA).

The theme for the XVIII International Symposium on Oncology Pharmacy Practice (ISOPP 2019) is Advancing Patient Care Through Global Collaboration

ISOPP’s first ever Africa Regional Oncology Pharmacy Symposium (AROPS 2019) is taking place May 16-17, 2019 at The Nairobi Hospital Convention Centre (TNHCC) in Nairobi. AROPS 2019 is followed by ISOPP's one day Masterclasses on May 18.

Improving safe handling of cytotoxic medicines in low and middle-income countries- Test Cyto-SAT: our self-assessment tool.

Cyto-SAT is a tool recently developed by the Geneva University Hospitals and its Pharm-Ed programme. Its aim is to promote ongoing quality and safety improvement regarding cytotoxic medicines handling practices in low and middle income countries. Cyto-SAT was validated by 27 international experts through a Delphi consensus method.
The tool has started to be tested in several countries (e.g.Morocco, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Brazil, Ethiopia, Sénégal etc.) but we are still looking for the participation of facilities dealing with chemotherapies in low and middle-income countries (LMIC).

UICC Technical Fellowships: Call for Applicants

ISOPP Members can apply for Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) Technical Fellowships. These fellowships provide funding for recipients to visit another centre to learn and be mentored in a skill that the pharmacist does not currently possess and will be of benefit to the recipient and their current institution. Applicants will be required to have their manager or a senior institutional administrator 'sign off' on their application. The funding varies with how far/where the recipient wants to travel to, but could potentially fund between 2-4 weeks of extramural training/mentorship.

Answer the question:  "What my Oncology Pharmacist does for me/our Institution" by recording a “vignettes” for a twitter post or as a video.

The length can vary from "tweet" size (144-288 characters) to narratives of 250-500 words and should be from: patients and families, managers, administrators, oncologists, nurses, and other allied health professionals.

The Victorian Therapeutics Advisory Group (VicTAG) in conjunction with the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Australia, are funding a project to develop a Chemotherapy Audit Toolkit to provide health services with an audit tool and an overarching governance framework for chemotherapy prescribing and variation from protocol.
